This handcrafted bunk bed provides unmatched headroom on a rock-solid frame. Each bunk bed is made-to-order here in our Montana workshop out of locally sourced fir. Made without glue, metal or plastic, this bunk bed fits together using only a mallet and a few wooden “peg nails” because of the expert joinery that makes this bunk bunk bed an heirloom. The bed has a non-toxic finish that is dye, stain and plastic free, allowing the natural, vibrant beauty of the wood to shine. The bottom bunk rests on the ground, making the bottom bunk of this bed a safe option even for younger children to easily climb in and out. This bunk bed is also comfortable for adults, with almost 3 feet of headroom on the bottom bunk and a sturdy frame that doesn’t shake or wiggle under heavier weights. The top bunk is easily accessed by climbing the ladder-like design of the headboard or footboard.
Each bed comes with a hand-carved black walnut wooden inlay on the side of the bed. Choose between no inlay, a cross, a heart or a moon.
Specifications and shipping: When assembled, the bunk bed is 60” tall, 80.5” long and 45.5” wide. There are 33” of headroom for the bottom bunk. It fits two standard twin mattresses. Mattresses are not included. FREE shipping. The bunk bed ships in 16 pieces, plus 24 wooden peg nails (kids love to help hammer these in!) and detailed assembly instructions including live support from us if needed. It is a two-person lift. The heaviest piece of the unassembled bed weighs approx. 75lb. *Please read all assembly instructions and safety information before assembling.

All books are printed in the USA and designed, written, published, and shipped by us. If you’re interested in gift wrap, let me know and we can gift wrap most products. All baby books come gift wrapped for FREE! We use low-plastic, low-waste shipping materials. This means that some of our shipping materials are re-used, most are recyclable, and we use as little plastic as possible. We pack everything with care and attention so it gets to you in the same condition that it left our shop.

FREE shipping always. We usually ship via USPS ground (3-7 days). Non-book orders are tracked and insured. Some products are made to order, so processing times will be listed on each product. In-stock items ship in 1-3 days.
Cancelation:
Some items are made-to-order. Production usually begins within 1-12 hours after placing your order. If we have not yet begun production, we accept cancelations and will issue a refund for your order. Please contact us at kat@mountainduckeggs.com as soon as possible if you would like to request a cancelation or make a change to your order. Once we have begun production, cancellations are subject to a restocking fee.
Returns:
We have a 10-day return policy, which means you have 10 days after receiving your item to request a return. Some items are not eligible for return, including custom items. See “Exceptions” section below. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. The cost of return shipping plus a $5 restocking fee will be deducted from your refund. You can always contact us for any return question.
Damages and issues:
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items:
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. We cannot accept returns on sale items, customized items, wholesale items or gift cards.
Exchanges:
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
