Spiral Slipper Socks are knit in the round in a spiraling rib pattern. The elasticity of this stitch allows you to make a tube sock that fits comfortably, requires no extra heel shaping, and won’t disturb the striping pattern of your yarn. The toe is closed with a star toe, so no grafting is needed. Knit with worsted weight yarn, these slipper socks knit up quickly, allowing a beginner to expand their skills, and a more advanced knitter a fun and quick knit.

Faith Schmidt designs under the name DistractedKnits for a very good reason. With nine children, some grown and some still at home, there’s always something going on! This has led her to design patterns that are interesting to knit but are also easy to memorize and “read”, in the case of one of those all-to-frequent interruptions.
Materials
Needles: US 5 and 6: 2 circular needles for knitting in the round, or size needed to obtain gauge. (One long needle to use with the Magic Loop method, or DPN’s can also be used.)
Yarn: Knit Picks Felici Worsted (75% Merino/25% Nylon, 100 grams, 218 yards): 1 skein (See Notes)
Stitch Markers: 2
Gauge: 22 sts to 4 inches in stockinette stitch with the larger needles, in the round, unblocked.
Finished Size: Average Adult Foot, easily resized.
